Welcome to the Slavic Pagan Homepage!
Webmaster's note: As you can see we are under construction. The webpage has just started out and has a long way to go, but I am very enthused about it and feel confident that this webpage will grow and be helpful. Feel free to e-mail me with suggestions, corrections or contributions. Thanks, Webmaster
Who are we? Slavic Pagans are known by many names. In Bulgarian, we are Ezichestvo, in Russian, we are Iazichetsvo, in Ukranian we are Iazichnitstvo and in Polish we are Poganstvo or Poganstwo. Some Ukrainians also use Pravoslavya, which means "True faith" or "right faith." Many Orthodox Christians use Pravoslavya however, so anyone can be a Pravoslavno, or true believer. For that reason, Ezichestvo and it's variants are the preferred terms for our religion.
What do we follow?
We are Pagans who follow the ancient and indiginous religion of the Slavic People. We follow many gods, such as Svarog, Veles, Perun, Mokosh, Dazhbog, Rod and others. We have a rich tradition of mythology and folktales, and this webpage is an attempt to help share some of that with you.
What are Pagans? We are Pagans. Our group of people covers all walks of life; there are Pagan students, teachers, lawyers, doctors, children, and many others. A pagan is anyone who does not follow a faith with Abraham as it's patriarch; those religions are Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Pagans are not devil-worshippers or evil people, we are people like anyone else and only want to be able to worship like anyone else.
You are the person to visit this website.
